IRVING, Texas — Former Dallas Cowboys offensive lineman Mark Tuinei has been selected for induction into the Polynesian Football Hall of Fame.
In addition to Tuinei, the class includes Luther Elliss, Jesse Sapolu, Ray Schoenke, a former Cowboy, Mosi Tatupu and Russ Francis.
Tuinei made the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent defensive lineman, but moved to offensive line and started for 12 seasons, winning three Super Bowl rings. He was named to the Pro Bowl twice. He is one of only three players to have spent 15 years with the Cowboys, joining Ed “Too Tall” Jones and Bill Bates.
